Art awards
The museum itself awards the Fred-Thieler-Preis für Malerei (Fred Thieler Award for Painting) and -together with the Stiftung Stadtmuseum Berlin, the Neuer Berliner Kunstverein and the Neue Nationalgalerie - the Hannah-Höch-Preis (Hannah Höch Award), provided by Berlin’s Senate Department of Science, Research, and Culture.
The Stiftung Preußische Seehandlung awards two prizes that are awarded at the Berlinische Galerie: the Friedlieb-Ferdinand-Runge-Preis für unkonventionelle Kunstvermittlung (Friedlieb Ferdinand Runge Award for an Exceptional Middleman in Art) Friedlieb Ferdinand Runge price for unconventional art education and the Eberhard-Roters-Stipendium (Eberhard Roters Award).
